Zangs Michalove 𓆩ZM𓆪 is an information-design studio with a unique approach to "soft cybernetics" to create cyber-physical systems that bridge the disciplines of architecture and information science. ZM collaborates with cultural producers and institutions around the planet to realize ambitious visions of technological integrations, spatial interactions, and cultural innovations.

soft cybernetics appropriates frontier technical architectures for the purposes of play and possibility. Using the latest models and computational techniques, we create (often complex) adaptive systems and representational vessels native to the contemporary digital landscape. Our approach to design is participatory and ethnographic, drawing on years of practical and academic experience in institutions ranging from MoMA to NASA JPL, from Columbia to Cornell, and from the Venice Architecture Biennalle to the ANU School of Cybernetics.
